Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current research into the study of memories of eyewitnesses and children's victim witnesses within court contexts. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous publications and many awards to her credit, is also the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has collaborated with numerous government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
